The Extended Version of the “MIAS International Summer School 2019“

That year, we introduced the “MIAS Extended Summer School” which included a 1-week extended course “Innovation Leadership Practice” worth 3 ECTS.
As part of the school, students visited the Gallery of Steel Figures in Prague, the most important monuments in Prague, the National Technical Museum and Barrandov Film Studios.
The Standard Version of the “MIAS International Summer School 2019“

In July 2019, almost fifty students with various cultural and educational backgrounds representing ten universities took part in the International Summer School at the Masaryk Institute of Advanced Studies of the Czech Technical University in Prague. They completed the main course “Innovation Leadership for Industry” worth 6 ECTS and the secondary course “Czech History and Culture” worth 3 ECTS. Most home universities have recognized these courses on the basis of the official list of completed courses.
As part of the summer school, the students visited many museums and other famous places in Prague, including the Museum of Alchemists and Prague Castle, and enjoyed a steamboat trip on the Vltava. They went on a trip to Kutná Hora, Karlštejn and Western Bohemia (Pilsen, Teplá Monastery, Loket, Karlovy Vary). As part of the course, the students visited the Prazdroj brewery in Pilsen, Škoda Transportation in Pilsen and the Zepter International warehouse in Rudná near Prague, where they were given a lecture on logistics by the company’s CEO.
Work description:
Our team was responsible for the project management of the entire event, which included the areas of process management, human resources, finance, managerial accounting, event management, reporting, marketing, sales maximization and business strategies.
Our team was also in charge of the process of student admission, from the moment of their submitting the application to their arrival to Prague, which included dealing with the visa process too. We were likewise responsible for the overall communication with the students as well as the foreign university partners.
