Participants of “MIAS International Summer School” 2018, 2019
This summer school enabled me to get acquainted with Czech culture and industry and make friends with people from all over the world. Thanks to Lukáš and Michal – they were great organizers! Special thanks to the pedagogical staff for their pleasant lessons.
I would like to divide the summary into two parts, study and travel.
Firstly, I will introduce the study part of summer school.
Course: Before applying for summer school, I got information about the Czech Technical University in Prague at my university. I found out that CTU in Prague is the Czech’s most outstanding technical university. The teaching methods used in lessons, such as group cooperation and interaction between students and teachers, were different from China.
Classmates: During summer school, we imitated the business-building process, we also explored a cultural variation in class. My classmates were from various countries around the world. Despite the initial cultural barriers, we were able to make friends and work together. A bond of friendship cannot be broken, and we have been kept in touch for more than 2 years.
Secondly, I want to emphasize the travel part of summer school.
Sightseeing: Czech is famous for Prague squares, Czech beer, Bohemia crystal, The Mole, etc.. As a student, I got a chance to travel and see all these places and taste local food and beer. I had enough time to experience it, it was so different from being here only as a traveler.
Thus, participate in MIAS International Summer School was a good choice. Everyone I met, everything I learned, and every beautiful scenery during all trips became unforgettable experiences in my life. Organizers: I want to congratulate to organizers of MIAS International Summer School to Michal and Lukas, who guaranteed well run and enjoyable events. They were not just our guides or persons responsible for this event, but they were also warm friends in a strange country.
Students MÚVS CTU in Prague
Michal Severa was my classmate during my bachelor studies at MIAS, in Prague. Together we have worked on different projects and tasks, where he proved to be very a responsible, organized and meticulous colleague. Due to his diligence and competitiveness, we managed to reach the best results in all those projects. Michal also helped me to prepare all the necessary documents for the Erasmus program. I would say that one of the most important characteristics is his willingness to help with any problem. Due to his advice, I was able to find an interesting job after my graduation, but also to discover the most suitable field of studies for my master. Therefore, I am more than happy to recommend Michal Severa not only as a collaborator, but also as a very generous friend.
I have personal experience with Michal Severa as we both participated in a project the goal of which was to improve access to educational materials created by senior students as part of their studies for all the students of MIAS School of Business. Michal got involved as an administrator of the social networks groups for freshers and current students of MIAS School of Business. That’s why I appealed to him so we could together come up with a new way of the materials distribution to the students. As soon as Michal familiarized himself with the subject, he added several more useful ideas for extension of the project. From my point of view, the cooperation with Michal was very pleasant
I had the opportunity to work with Michal during my studies at MIAS School of Business CTU in Prague. Michal was simultaneously a student representative, who replaced me in the Academic Senate of the Czech Technical University in Prague. He was involved in many activities at our faculty. Furthermore, he constantly tried to support and help his colleagues. Although our cooperation did not last long, I consider it very fruitful and constructive.
Study Applicants
Instructions that Michal a Lukáš gave me after admission exam were sufficient. Every step in the admission procedure was clear and all the needed documents, obviously except some specific ones, were collected with their help. They provided me with guidance, helpful information, and a lot of useful advice on interviews about my future steps in the admission process and live in the Czech Republic. Generally, Lukáš and Michal worked very well. Their work really helped me.
I was really satisfied with Michal and Lukas as Admission Officers because they helped me with all steps of my application to MIAS School of Business, CTU in Prague. At that time, they were really experienced, and they had good manner. I really appreciate it.
It’s was a good experience with the university’s services. Michal helped me a lot while I was struggling with papers, a procedure for applying, and searching for contacts. I also received good instruction and an explanation of an admission procedure. Thanks a lot.
Colleagues and Other Staff
Cooperation with both Michal and Lukáš in International Office at MIAS School of Business CTU in Prague was great. We were always able to find a way of mutually smooth collaboration and help each other, when needed. All in all, working with the guys was great!
Lukas, Michal and I worked collaboratively in International Office at MIAS School of Business CTU in Prague for a year and I found them very conscientious and hardworking professionals. They are both very determined, brilliant and exceptional with the work they do. It was a pleasure working with them.
Teachers
Michal was my student at Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences, where he attended the German Intensive Course. During the lessons Michal proved himself to be an industrious, detail-oriented, and communicative student. And beyond that, Michal turned out to have a broad overview of the various fields such as history, project management, and politics. Based on my own experience with Michal, I can recommend him for any further cooperation.
